Since the mid-1970s, tens of thousands of homes
and businesses in the U.S., Canada, and Europe have been heated
and cooled by systems that bridges the gap between high technology
and energy savings - the geothermal heat pump.
Consumers are searching for a better way to get
more out of their energy dollar. And many have found their answers
to be the geothermal heat pump.
The Electric Heating Institute
of Indiana is a not-for-profit organization whose membership is
made up of representatives from Indiana's electric utilities and
manufacturers, distributors and installers of electric comfort
conditioning equipment. Its purpose is to promote the safe and
efficient use of electricity and keep consumers informed about
new technologies in the heating/cooling industry.
This booklet is published
as a guide to the expanding technology of the Geothermal Heating/Cooling
System. EHII does not endorse and specific product or manufacturer.
Questions concerning this booklet or any information about efficient
use of electricity can be addressed to your local electric utility.
