The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry has made many changes since we began our business in 1986.  At that time, we were installing a lot of 80% furnaces.  Increased technology has had an impact on our product lines; we now offer furnaces that are up to 95% efficient!  More recently, government standards have increased minimum air conditioning efficiency to 13 SEER.  And as always, Morrell Heating and Cooling was prepared for the transition.

As fuel costs continue to increase, the industry continues to improve their fuel-efficient products.  We’ve always been an area leader in the geothermal market, and now we are working hard to also promote the environmentally friendly air-source heat pump systems.  Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is becoming a concern to a lot of folks as recent studies have shown that the air inside a home can be up to four times more polluted as outdoor air!  That’s why we’ve been using the Spacegard Air Filtration System as a standard on all of our geothermal installations.  We also promote the use of an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV).  These VenMar air exchangers bring fresh air into the home while discharging some of the indoor air.
